Long Time No Blog...

Boy, has it been a FUN and BUSY trip to The City! Claire just went down for a nap; and I hope to squeeze in a post or two before she wakes up!

Unfortunately, things are slowly coming to a close here, but we miss Daddy, and we know that he misses us, too! Claire can't wait to have him hold her in his arms and kiss her a million times (she told me this when she woke up this morning). :)

Let's start with the recap and photos already, shall we?

A HUGE celebration took place while we were here...Nanny's Birthday!
Saba took us all out to a lovely brunch at the diner nearby...

I sat VERY close to Claire, as she had her hands on some sticky french toast...

Once we were home, we went all out with Hello Kitty hats, plates, plastic leis, and sparkly candles.

Even Uncle Elliot was a good sport!

Nanny loved her gift from Claire! The Tinker Bell stickers that adorned the outside of the birthday surprise was such a nice touch. Great idea, Claire! :)

Helpful Hint: Babysitting? Looking to entertain a child of your own?! The Answer - PAPER HATS! They are cheap, easily replaced, and a HUGE hit in the occupying time department!

Jet Setter

Claire has been missing her Nanny and Saba SO VERY MUCH that she decided the two of us needed a trip to the Big Apple.

Claire was a piece of work on the flight to New York.

When she got hungry, she decided to opt for a taste of her Momma's hand instead of the blue chips (offered free of charge on Jet Blue)...

She was a huge fan of checking out the puffy, white clouds outside the window...





After a rocky landing and a small delay, we found Nanny and Saba waiting for us at baggage claim (I SHOULD have a picture here, though my hands were so full I was unable to take a photo of this reunion). Once we were settled in, Nanny made some yummy lasagna for us before we went to bed.

This morning, we ventured into the city, bundling up and going for a walk to experience all that this cold, cold place has to offer...


Claire caught about half the show. :)

Sunset Stroll

Claire and I just got back from a lovely stroll through the neighborhood.


At first, she wasn't so sure about venturing outdoors, as we have been watching weather reports about the chilly weather all over the country...




She became bored of her trepidation; and she thought a little cat nap would help pass the time...



















Claire woke up just in time to see that home was only a few steps away - HOORAY!

Keeping in Touch

Claire, Kevin and I want to do our VERY best to try and keep in touch with those that matter most to us – our family and dear friends. We love sharing our experiences as parents, as well as all of the sunshine that Claire brings into our lives.
